Excellent, thorough care. The vets are super nice and accommodating. They don't barge into the room with the booming loud voice like they do in many places! Their prices are way lower than most, but their care, in my opinion, is better. It's nice that they have a store that sells medicine and specialty foods.
Animal Hospital Of Palo Alto is a small animal veterinary hospital offering the best comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We offer boarding 365 days a year, bathing services, as well as a broad range of diagnostic procedures and in-house blood testing. Our professional and caring staff provides the best possible medical care for each of our highly-valued patients.
At the Animal Hospital of Palo Alto, we believe in trying to prevent a medical condition before it becomes a problem. Preventive medicine can save your companion from sickness, unwanted behavior, surgery and euthanasia. We offer education and services for all stages of your pet's life. Whether it is vaccinations, behavior, or medical issues, our goal is to offer education and preventive diagnostics to help your pet live a long and happy life.
Here at AHOPA we provide full diagnostic and treatment services for your pet including diagnosis and treatment of diabetes, glaucoma, thyroid disease, kidney disorders, liver disease, splenic tumors, urinary tract infection, eye problems, dermatological conditions and allergies, just to name a few. Our doctors regularly attend continuing education conferences and make sure they are up to date on all the most current recommendations and treatment options for your pet.
Vaccines create antibodies which protect your pet from disease. Up-to-date vaccinations play a large part in keeping your pet healthy and free from disease. However, not every pet requires the same series or frequency of vaccines.
Our veterinarians tailor a vaccine protocol that is specific to your pet based on his or her lifestyle and immune status. Blood tests are also available to check your pets “titer” or blood antibody level, in cases where owners would like to further customize their pets vaccine protocol. These tests can be discussed more in-depth with the doctor at the time of your pets exam.
Ultrasound is an advanced, state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging technique that is painless and non-invasive. AHOPA uses this diagnostic tool to obtain information about the internal organs of your pet using sound waves. A computer image is generated that helps us to evaluate the internal structure of organs and can show abnormal lesions.
Radiographs are one of the most common and useful diagnostic tools in medicine, as they are immediately viewable on a computer monitor. The clear, detailed images can be manipulated to get a better view of your pet's bones and internal organs leading to a faster and more accurate diagnosis. If your pet's condition is critical or warrants a referral, we have many excellent specialty veterinarians to whom we can refer you and your pet including dermatologists, dentists, surgeons, ophthalmologists, cardiologists, oncologists, neurologists and internists.
